Description
The Bohning Alpha Vane in Black is a shield-cut fletching vane available in a 100-pack. Each vane measures 71.1 mm (2.8 in) long and 11.4 mm (0.45 in) tall, weighing 8.5 grains per vane. Bohning rates AR1250 as the lightest and stiffest compound vane material they make; it forms the base of this vane. The shield cut has a Torque Apex to address rotational balance; the tail shape works against flutter while helping the arrow hold speed. Bohning pre-primes each vane, so no pen primers or shaft cleaning is required before gluing. Attach with BlazerBond or Fletch Fuse; AR1250 does not bond with solvent-based adhesives.
